At Altoo, providing and delivering the best security is our priority and that is why we have implemented a 3 factor authentication process. The following must be used in combination: a single device security certificate, a mobile authentication app and a personalised password.
¶ Installation of client certificate and initial login
Here you will find a step by step explanation on how to install your certificate.
Step 1: Install the security certificate and enter the password (provided by your Altoo contact) when prompted.
Step 2: Open your web browser (we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome)
Step 3: Your browser will now ask you to authenticate using the certificate you have just installed.
Step 4: Follow the onscreen instructions and call us (+41 58 502 25 25) to share your unique 6 digit code displayed on the screen. The code is valid for a maximum of 10 minutes.
Step 5: Once you have shared the code you will be asked to download and install the Altoo mobile app (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) on your smartphone.
Step 6: Follow the instructions on your Altoo mobile app to pair your phone with your login.
Step 7: Use the app on your phone to scan the QR code

Here you will find a step by step explanation on how to install your certificate.
Step 1: Click on the security certificate (example: usercertificate.p12), which you have received by e-mail and follow the instructions of the Certificate Import process:
Step 2: Go to Settings and select General and click on Profiles
Step 3: Select Identity Certificate under Downloaded Profile
Step 4: Click on install
Step 5: Enter your iPad Pin (your personal Pin)
Step 6: Confirm the warning by clicking again on ‘Install’ in the top right corner.
Step 7: Confirm the certificate installation by clicking again on ‘Install’.
Step 8: Enter the password that you receive from your Altoo representative and click on next.
Step 9: Click on “Done” to finish the installation:
Step 10: Open your Safari browser and type in the address of the login website: eco.altoo.io
Step 11: Click on the respective certificate that you have just installed.

Step 1: Go to “My Settings” and select Security - Certificate - Create and download certificate
Step 2: Copy password and install the certificate

Step 4: (Optional) Delete your old certificate so that it no longer appears for selection (if the certificate has expired (after 2 years), it will no longer be displayed).
